3. I worked for a Planned Parenthood clinic that did abortions and we had picketers imploring patients

not to go in and "kill their baby."

While I was not a medical staff member (I did PR and fundraising) I talked to the docs and assistants a lot about their experiences which I could relate to our donors (without names of course) to know how important their support was in helping our patients.

We had volunteers who assisted patients coming into the facility; several were young women who were attending Yale and loved their volunteer work. I know they, too, were affected by the experience there.

The PP facility was renovated after I left and there is now more protected space for patients to go in and to leave without harassment of those people.

Not necessarily at your clinic. I wasn’t even having an abortion, I just had an early appointment for birth control pills. I was met at my car by volunteers who surrounded me at my car to keep the protesters from me. They were yelling at me to “please don’t kill your baby”. I yelled back that I wasn’t even pregnant and was just getting birth control pills. It was weird.

I don't understand wtf makes some people feel they have the right to assault someone over what amounts to a difference of opinion.

I found another article with more details. Among other things, it says he "faces a maximum sentence of 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release and fines of up to $350,000." I hope he gets the max!
