And a shameless opportunist. He's a Repuke Gov. in a Blue State. The only way he is in office is because Dems voted for him. He wants to keep it that way.

Christie is now, always has been and always will be a Republican, egomaniac, bully.

Fact is he needs the federal government in a bad way right now. He needs FEMA, aid dollars, etc. and he needs Obama to get that.

This is about fixing NJ and also making sure he can win reelection.

He's not a Democrat, he isn't switching parties, he doesn't love Obama. He's a ruthless pragmatist who called Obama a piece of shit on Monday to get votes and called Obama awesome on Friday to get federal aid.

That's all.

I'm sorry. I got confused for a minute. I'm better now. It is exactly as you say, and if I hadn't typed my post so quickly on my nifty new (recycled) keyboard, I would have figured it out.

"He’d [Obama] never run anything in his life. And so the President doesn’t know how to lead. I mean watch what he’s been like for the past four years. He’s like a man wandering around a dark room, hands up against the wall, clutching for the light switch of leadership, and he just can’t find it. And, he won’t find it in the next 18 days! Blindly, blindly, walking around the White House… looking for a clue – looking for a clue.

And you, know, the unfortunate thing for the President is this – is that there are clues everywhere – if he’d just open his eyes."

Christie is changing his tune because he has to for the moment. Just don't forget who he really is.

...pretty much any politician is going to do a better job at pretending to be a normal human being than Willard. I just remember how everyone loved Rudy Giuliani right after 9/11... didn't last long. He went back to being an asshole fairly quick.

I get the feeling the guy just doesn't like Romney. Can't blame him either. Honestly, most of the repugs don't like Romney, why he got the GOP nomination beats me. No loss to us... He's going down tomorrow. The GOP are idiots.

You hit that nail on the head. Willard is a sociopath but he never learned how to hide it as well as most sociopaths. What makes him seem so alien to us is that he has no empathy. It's a genetic difference that, I think, actually does make him different from most humans and not in a good way.

Unfortunately, not all sociopaths are Ted Bundy. Many are in places of power. Most are astoundingly good at mimicking empathy.

What makes RMoney so strange is that he is not good at the mimicry. I think that's what's so odd. It's hard to fathom how he got so far without learning mimicry. No sociopath should ever get to his level. But come to think of it, the other silverspoon sociopath, George Dubya, did it. And he also had pretty poor mimicry skills, except for the "good 'ol boy" schtick. Willard can't even pull off the "I'm your fake buddy" schtick.

I know that at least one of RMoney's sons also has the disorder but if any of the others escaped having it, I feel especially sorry for them. I feel it at a deep gut level because my father was a sociopath. I know the hell of growing up near a monster, for most sociopaths are just that, monsters. I have great gratitude for two things - that I escaped at age 13 and that I did not inherit the disorder.
