(12,046 posts)We saw it right next to the full moon a night or two ago and wondered what planet that was. She just made a very juvenile butt joke...
Wonder if I saw it too!! And not knowing, I made no butt jokes!

"Oh. What do they call it now?"
"U rectum".

(15,909 posts)...Uranus only makes a really close approach around 2:00 AM, without going behind the moon.

So, no drive out into the country for me.

(7,690 posts)From my location it would be a 'grazing' occultation - the planet will be skimming across the lower left lunar limb from 12:35am till about 1:15am.
Grazers are a lot of fun to watch, but all I can see tonight are cloud butts.

(34,015 posts)There was something near the moon the other night, but I think it was jupiter.
According to Stellarium it's behind the moon right now, so I can't tell anyway

(36,631 posts)Last night at one time I could see the moon plus 1 planet trailing and 3 leading. Uranus must've been the one trailing. I know the brightest one was Jupiter and fairly sure the next one was Mars, but the one nearest the western horizon has me stumped.
