Today marks the anniversary of the end of the Siege of Yorktown

It ended on October 19, 1781 essentially ending the Revolutionary War.

Yorktown. He also served as gov of Virginia so Jefferson could be elsewhere. I read a book on the Revolution giving both sides and Nelson received high marks for his governance. I can't be proud of the slave owner part, but I admire what he did with it. How many other slave owners rose to the occasion?
