Easy fix.
Everyone stay home. A few months w/o passing the collection basket might wake up some of those faithful pastors backing the GOP?

(2,945 posts)gum humpers can take their hate into the churches, etc., making the congregation including the children "uncomfortable". As long as Christos keep chanting "take you hands off my guns" those against gun control shouldn't be allowed a sanctuary from guns in a church.

(82,849 posts)About time those sneaky Quakers, shifty Mennonites, and dastardly Brethren faced up to the real consequences of their pacifist doctrines. It's just sickening, isn't it, the way they mock the sacred beliefs of our national religion in the High Church of Redemptive Violence. Mowing down a few of their congregations should get them with the program, and realize the error of their ways.

(3,583 posts)We feed the hungry, welcome the stranger, all that. Every Sunday, I watch the doors. I sing in the choir so it is easy to do. I have an escape plan in place, and also hope to along as many fellow parishioners as I can if the worst ever happens. I live in a state where literally anybody can carry: we're like the Wild West waiting to happen. Though I tell myself, you're a white lady of a certain age: welcome to their world.

This ruling only prevents the government from saying no guns in any houses of worship even if church leaders wish to allow it.
Its a completely reasonable ruling.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. After the Concealed Carry Improvement Act was approved by Gov. Kathy Hochul in July prohibiting concealed weapons from being carried in sensitive locations, including houses of worship, churches throughout New York state are joining together in protest of their safety.
