Watching a Trump voter focus group is like watching a Nurse Ratched patient focus group.

There is very little difference.

MSNBC showed a video of a Trump voter focus group. There were around 9, 10 of them and these were your average Trump voters. They were asked simple questions to get their views. ALL of them were in complete denial. Trump has done nothing wrong, Trump voters have done nothing wrong. The Trump voters who stormed the capital were just like BLM protests.

They also answered everything, in order to defend themselves, with talking points they heard on Fox News or found on the internet. They were like robots all repeating the same lies.

Deep down inside many Trump voters know they are wrong about almost everything. That's why they are in complete denial. They cannot mentally handle the fact they are wrong about Trump, so they make up excuses, use excuses to deflect. Excepting the truth, facing reality would be admitting they are idiots who were suckered by Trump.

When all the indictments come down on Trumps inner circle and Trump. Trump voters are going to have a mental breakdown. Many will retreat into isolation, into their own little bubbles, mumbling to themselves. Only the truly crazy will remain, the Q followers for example.

I have said it from the beginning. Trump voters are going to become infamous for all time. History is going to be brutal to the Trump voters.

After all, the first tenet of christianity is the denial of the physical world.

and eventually some will open their eyes. It will take some time but they are not immune. I saw that group. At times the body language was telling. They crossed their arms in a defensive position. Once they dig in they just can’t admit they were wrong.

They're mad because the reporters aren't buying their "truth." Worse, they're not getting told how smart and wonderful they are, like they think they should be.

This is really how these morons see the world.

But I wouldn't count on it happening in any kind of numbers that would matter.

Maybe living in the south most of my life has taught me that the vast majority of stupid people won't open their eyes, because they can't. They're so stupid that they don't even think their eyes are closed.

How does one argue with that?

That's how it works. Some people want indictments before the investigations are completed. That's how you lose cases.

Thanks. It's painful to watch.

I saw it this morning and agreed with Elise Jordan that they are so psychologically tied to TFG that they take any criticism of him as an attack on themselves. Most would probably drink the Kool-Aid if he told them to.

I'd be curious to know how many of them are "devout Christians" who believe they can do no wrong because they have God on their side telling them what to do.

their attitudes are met with too much rejection for comfort (authoritarians NEED approval and conformity more than most), their well developed capacity for denial, compartmentalization, and rationalization will come to their rescue.

They'll retrench to an emotionally and more socially acceptable position, refuse to recognize any faults, and continue on, the internet allowing them to and reassure each other of their virtue and share their resentments. And that's about as for the good as we can hope for.

Because they're what they are, and every wannabe populist leader, RW and left, knows their great potential and how to develop it.

History will be deservedly brutal to them, can't be any other way. In any country where their leaders aren't the ones writing it.

They're too stupid to know what is right or wrong. They only know what side they're on, and they'll justify anything "their" side does, no matter how amoral or illegal it is.

We have to stop thinking these are rational beings.

They're not, and they haven't been for a long time. Too many of them have never been rational. Not one stinking day of their miserable lives.
