finally got to at least talk to Bruce Springsteen. Pres. Obama put Bruce on the line to talk to Christie from Air Force One yesterday. Gov. Christie has seen Springsteen 129 times in Concert and knows the lyrics to all his songs.

(25,415 posts)Because Barack Obama is a good man. Christie might vote for Mittens to keep in line with his party but I think in his heart, he knows the better man. And I hope Christie's increased humanity leads him to realize how you treat others is a big part of life. I find myself not disliking him these days.

(115,757 posts)and apparently Springsteen was very gracious as well. I'm glad Christie finally got to meet his favorite musician. Now that he's had a chance to hang out with some great Democrats, let's hope he rethinks some of his political positions. I'm not holding my breath, though.

(2,067 posts)I wonder if by chance Pres. Obama knows Roger Waters and could arrange a meeting or at least a phone call to me from Roger.

Christie is going to need to be in the good graces of the next administration in D.C. because that administration will be organizing the relief effort for New Jersey after this storm.
Chris Christie is not a stupid man -- disgusting, yes -- insulting, yes, yes -- a bully, yes, yes, yes -- but not stupid.

(74 posts)is still to be known. I think it is remarkable that the keynote speaker of the Rethugs convention who is known for speaking his mind, (however crudely and blusterly) is now a BIG fan of the President and has no hesitation in saying so. He was even forced to "re-declare" for Robme and still managed not to sound enthusiastic. No love lost there. He does not apologize for recognizing the leadership and commitment the President gave to the crisis. He knew he wasn't alone in the storm. He knew just how much he needed Big Government to help. This will probably make him a much better and more reasonable politician for the future. It really has been a life altering event for him.
I like what is happening and I am glad he got to meet "The Boss!"
