That will not help the Republicans this election, that will hurt them. Many Trump voters do exactly what Trump tells them to do. Many Trump voters used mail-in ballots in the past. They may not now. This could lead some of them not to vote on election day. They may say they are going to vote, but they may not and they are not going to mail it in.

Also many Trump voters only vote when Trump is on the ticket. They may say they are going to vote, but they may not..

I have no idea how this election is going to turn out. But there are a lot of hidden things going against the Republicans that do not show up in polls. I am hoping things like this will be enough for the Democrats to win the many close elections.

I remain hopeful for the Democrats to beat the odds this November.

Here in NC, the Republicans in the General Assembly spent 10 years passing laws to make voting by mail easier. This was done because voting by mail here was used primarily by senior citizens, a group that trends Republican.

In the 2016 election, we had 191,601 ballots sent in by mail. In 2020, that number was over 1 million, and a lot more Dem voters used vote by mail than Republicans, so suddenly it became evil and corrupt.

I think you're right about some Trump voters. The hardcore Trumpers who only vote for Trump didn't vote in 2018. In 2020, they came out of the woodwork again to vote for Trump, and in the process they voted for a lot of Republicans whom they'd probably never heard of. These are people who aren't political at all, and they don't follow issues, really. Trump woke them up from their stupor, but they are loyal only to him - NOT to other Republicans.

Also got a robocall from Don Jr saying to vote by mail as it's safer because of COVID-19.

If the majority of early voters and mail-in voters are Democratic and the ones who show up on election day are mostly repugs, they will end up being the ones harassed by their own asshole poll watching vigilantes and challenged by the workers who infiltrated to mess shit up. That could further complicate things on their side.
