Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI am certain this will put some folks' knickers in a twist but, this close to watershed midterms,
I don't see the need for any negative posts about any Democrat in any race on a Democratic board.

(8,820 posts)since 1979 when HWBush committed treason to get Reagan in office. Then there was the supreme court, with no authority whatever that stole the election from Gore by ruling in a "states" voting matter. And then there were the "swift boaters" in 2004 Along with the corrupted EIS/Diebold voting machines like in Ohio. And the follow up 2016 election where the Republicans joined forces with Putin to screw with the votes/voting........
We don't need to be dragging the dems down for any reason at this point...........It might be too late anyways.....

(42,770 posts)Democrat being on the bad side of a poll is considered a negative post. Or sometimes it's considered bashing or trashing that Democrat. So may be best to just say that a particular Dem needs to win by much more than they will definitely win by already. Lol

(15,210 posts)Very little of what is said on DU needs to be said. It's said because people want to express themselves.
Positive posts here, negative posts here... it's all a wash as to any actual effect on voter turnout. People who bother to be on DU are going to vote whether they are positive of victory or pessimistic about it.

(15,210 posts)...encourages people to get out and vote, and do things that encourage non-DUers to get out and vote, like campaign work and contributions.
The optimism or pessimism of various posts, however, is a stupid thing to be worrying about for its supposed effect.
