Paul Pelosi Almost Died, and Most Republicans Don't Have a Big Problem With That

In fact, some of them have even suggested committing violence against his wife, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Michael Tomasky
The New Republic/October 31, 2022

Nothing in particular was happening on July 31, 2021, that should have given Kevin McCarthy’s words any special weight. It was a Saturday. The House of Representatives was on summer break. McCarthy was in Nashville at a fundraising event, and the state’s House Republicans presented him with an oversize gavel. Then he “joked”: “I want you to watch Nancy Pelosi hand me that gavel. It’ll be hard not to hit her with it.” You can hear the audio here, and listen as the crowd laughs.

This is the man the voters of America are likely to make the next speaker of the House. But wait. The man in charge of this year’s House GOP effort, Representative Tom Emmer of Minnesota, has gone McCarthy one better. Last week, with political emotions at a fever pitch, he posted to Twitter a video of himself firing a weapon at a range, under which he wrote: “Enjoyed exercising my Second Amendment rights with @KellyCooperAZ & General @JackBergman_MI1. 13 days to make history. Let’s #FirePelosi.” Two days later, David DePape broke into Nancy Pelosi’s house, and you know what happened next.

SNIP…

You’ve read, I’m sure, about Elon Musk’s sick tweet Sunday morning. I’m not going to help spread the conspiracy theory in question. It came from a “news source” that wrote years ago that Hillary Clinton had died and been replaced by a body double. And Musk, on the very weekend he took over Twitter and started firing people, decided that “free speech” includes peddling to his 112 million followers a tale with no basis in fact from a right-wing propaganda outlet. Behold our new public square.

SNIP…

The reaction of course extends well beyond the vile Musk. In classic totalitarian fashion, figures on the right are interpreting the Pelosi attack as a moment of liberation. Dinesh D’Souza suggested—on Twitter, natch—that the Pelosi attack was a false flag operation, and then, of the discrepancy between the mainstream reporting on the incident (that is to say, the gathering of facts) versus the extremist conspiracy, he wrote: “The Left is going crazy because not only are we not BUYING the wacky, implausible Paul Pelosi story but we are even LAUGHING over how ridiculous it is. What this means is that we are no longer intimidated by their fake pieties. Their control over us has finally been broken.”

Substitute “Jew” for “left,” and that’s Joseph Goebbels in 1933.

Tue Nov 1, 2022, 09:21 AM

By Mark Aarons and John Loftus

Richard Nixon’s political career Rbegan in 1945, when as a navy officer he was assigned to review some captured Nazi documents. Allen Dulles told Nixon to keep quiet about what he had seen and, in return, arranged to finance the young man’s first congressional campaign.

The documents that Dulles was eager to cover up concerned Karl Blessing, the former Reichsbank of- ficer and then head of the Nazi oil cartel called Kontinentale 01 AG, or “Konti.” Konti was in partnership with Allen and John Foster Dulles’ principal Nazi client, I.G. Farben, the infamous chemical/weapons producer. Both companies had despicable records regarding their complicity with the NAZIs and their ill treatment of Jews during the Holocaust.

Dulles was also covering up for Blessing in order to protect continued control of German oil interests in the Middle East. Blessing’s Konti was the Nazi link to King Ibn Saud [whose family was empowered to rule the Ara- bian peninsula thanks to Nazi collabo- rators within British and U.S. intelligence] and Aramco (the Arab-American Oil Co.). If Blessing went down, he could have taken a lot of people with him, including Allen Dulles.

The Dulles brothers took Nixon under their wing and escorted him on a tour of fascist, “freedom fighter” operations in Germany.

When Truman was reelected in 1948, Nixon became Allen Dulles’ mouthpiece in Congress. Both Nixon and Senator Joseph McCarthy received volumes of classified information to support the charge that the Truman ad- ministration was filled with “pinkos.” When McCarthy went too far in his Communist investigations, it was Nixon who worked with CIA director Bedell Smith, to steer investigations away from the intelligence community.

Called cognitive dissonance.

I practically had to have a therapy session with my friend, she was so rattled to see a group of people acting in such
a heinous and callous way. And she wondered what it meant for the upcoming election. It didn't leave her with optimism.

Good thing I was not at the party, I would have had some choice words for these people.

The Right has created a giant echo chamber, what Allen Dulles termed, “The Might Wurlitzer.”

Details and the memo, courtesy of Greenpeace:

The Lewis Powell Memo: A Corporate Blueprint to Dominate Democracy

Additional important history to know...

Alex Carey: Corporations and Propaganda

The Attack on Democracy

The 20th century, said Carey, is marked by three historic developments: the growth of democracy via the expansion of the franchise, the growth of corporations, and the growth of propaganda to protect corporations from democracy. Carey wrote that the people of the US have been subjected to an unparalleled, expensive, 3/4 century long propaganda effort designed to expand corporate rights by undermining democracy and destroying the unions. And, in his manuscript, unpublished during his life time, he described that history, going back to World War I and ending with the Reagan era. Carey covers the little known role of the US Chamber of Commerce in the McCarthy witch hunts of post WWII and shows how the continued campaign against "Big Government" plays an important role in bringing Reagan to power.

John Pilger called Carey "a second Orwell", Noam Chomsky dedicated his book, Manufacturing Consent, to him. And even though TUC Radio runs our documentary based on Carey's manuscript at least every two years and draws a huge response each time, Alex Carey is still unknown.

Given today's spotlight on corporations that may change. It is not only the Occupy movement that inspired me to present this program again at this time. By an amazing historic coincidence Bill Moyers and Charlie Cray of Greenpeace have just added the missing chapter to Carey's analysis. Carey's manuscript ends in 1988 when he committed suicide. Moyers and Cray begin with 1971 and bring the corporate propaganda project up to date.

This is a fairly complex production with many voices, historic sound clips, and source material. The program has been used by writers and students of history and propaganda. Alex Carey: Taking the Risk out of Democracy, Corporate Propaganda VS Freedom and Liberty with a foreword by Noam Chomsky was published by the University of Illinois Press in 1995.

ABC and the Rise of Rush Limbaugh

Wednesday, 03 December 2003 14:32
Written by James DiEugenio

With little doubt, the two most revolutionary developments in radio in the last 40 years --- since the ascension of rock music --- have been the talk radio format, and then the conversion of that format to a politically conservative tone. No single personality is more responsible or representative of that explosive movement than Rush Limbaugh. If you ask the average informed person: "Who sponsored Limbaugh?" the answer you would probably hear would either be Clear Channel or Fox. The real and correct answer though would be ABC.

Once the Cap Cities takeover of ABC was complete, the move by ABC television to a more politically friendly stance was not abrupt or dramatic. For instance, it took until 1993 for Peter Jennings to announce in an interview with TV Guide that his nightly news show would now be paying more attention to conservatives because in his view their ideas were "more provocative and less predictable on some issues." But there was one front on which CC/ABC could move suddenly and potently and that was radio.

Why? Because CC/ABC had a huge advantage in ownership outlets that it could capitalize on. Of the 11,000 radio stations in America, CC/ABC either owned or rented space to about half of them --- an extraordinary advantage that the FCC did not challenge at the time of the purchase. Since the Fairness Doctrine had been disposed of in 1987, CC/ABC could now begin to broadcast a more conservative brand of radio without fear of being petitioned for equal time.

Edward McLaughlin, President of ABC Radio began searching for a talk show host to lead ABC's new direction. He found him in Sacramento. Limbaugh was doing an AM talk show there at the time and he was defending the actions of people like Oliver North and William Casey during the Iran-Contra scandal. McLaughlin noticed him and brought him to New York City for a one-month broadcast trial at CC/ABC's flagship station WABC. McLaughlin liked what he heard and ABC promoted him by placing him on their fast track, handling all his marketing, advertising and promotion. To provide a fig leaf for ABC, Limbaugh formed his own media company, Excellence in Broadcasting. But Limbaugh broadcast out of ABC stations for decades. And for a long time, the man who followed Limbaugh on WABC was Bob Grant who continued the tirade against "bleeding heart" liberals and once called New York's black mayor David Dinkins a "washroom attendant".

McLaughlin promoted Limbaugh initially by arranging appearances for him on other talk shows like Ted Koppel's Nightline, Donahue, MacNeil/Lehrer and a primetime, and rather fawning, interview with ABC's Barbara Walters. These appearances were all meant to give Limbaugh more mainstream exposure and publicize his show.

When Limbaugh tried to branch out into television in September of 1992, his producer was Roger Ailes, the longtime Republican strategist who specialized in attack ads, most notably in the 1988 Bush-Dukakis race. Of course, the timing of the show was on the eve of the 1992 election so many people complained that Limbaugh's show was clearly fronting for the Bush campaign and demanded equal time. Limbaugh replied "I am equal time." Of course, he is not. Limbaugh featured guests who were from his point of view, blocked out all opposing views, screened callers and their questions in advance, labeled feminists, "femiNazis" and blamed all of America's problems on "big-spending Democrats, the lazy poor and trouble-making minority rabble-rousers." He was so offensive that the show was pulled because major advertisers did not want to be a part of it. Signifcantly, the ill-fated television show was distributed by one of CC/ABC's partners, Multimedia. Recently, when Limbaugh made his comments about Donovan McNabb of the Philadelphia Eagles being overrated and a beneficiary of racial sympathy, it was on another subsidiary of ABC, ESPN.

Clearly CC/ABC meant to chart a sea change in the concept of talk radio with Limbaugh's launch. This in turn made it possible for Jennings to make his 1993 comments. If one recalls the days of talk radio before the Limbaugh Revolution, it was actually a rather interesting, exploratory and sedate domain with people like Ira Fistell and Michael Jackson in Los Angeles. Limbaugh and CC/ABC made them obsolete and paved the way for the likes of Michael Savage, another talk show host so offensive that he had to be yanked from television.

Had political assassinations and there was this air of “we don’t do this in the USA”. But we had them with a few political assassinations, like Lincoln, McKinley, and the Kennedy’s. But after those mourning periods, the moral superiority resumed.

So, from watching behaviors from 2017 to today, veiled threats and now assassination attempts in the USA are nearing normal behavior. And I don’t think we have seen the end of this. We are living in frightening times.

I get so bleeping tired of the GOP stooges who say the USA is the best country in the world. January 6, 2021 and the attempt on the Pelosis say otherwise.

The Mafia’s President: Nixon and the Mob

Posted on November 14, 2017
by Don Fulsom

Unbeknownst to most people even now, the election of 1968 placed the patron saint of the Mafia in the White House. In other words, Richard Nixon would go on to not only lead a criminal presidency; he would be totally indebted to our nation’s top mobsters.

By 1969, thanks in large part to his long-time campaign manager and political advisor Murray Chotiner, a lawyer who specialized in representing mobsters, Nixon had participated in secret criminal dealings for more than 20 years with sketchy figures such as Mickey Cohen, Mob financial guru Meyer Lansky, Teamsters union chief Jimmy Hoffa, and New Orleans Mafia boss Carlos Marcello. And with Chotiner as one of his key behind-the-scenes advisors in the White House, Nixon’s ties to the Mafia didn’t end there. The Mafia’s President reveals a mind-blowing litany of favors Nixon exchanged with these sinister characters over decades, ranging from springing Jimmy Hoffa from prison to banning the federal government from using the terms “Mafia” and “La Cosa Nostra.” Drawing on newly released government tapes, documents, and other fresh information, The Mafia’s President by Don Fulsom offers a carefully reported, deeply researched account of Richard Nixon’s secret connections to America’s top crime lords. Read an excerpt of The Mafia’s President below.

Mobsters in Cuba

Santos Trafficante Jr., based in Tampa, was one of the most powerful Mafia godfathers in the country—and he was brutally vicious to his enemies. Known as the “Silent Don” because he was a keen adherent of the Mob’s vow of silence, he wore thick glasses and dressed more like a bank president than a hood.

Yet Santos never hesitated to order hits on fellow mobsters who tried to encroach on his territory—or who had committed, in his deep green eyes, any other unpardonable sin. Among those Mafiosi reportedly bumped off on Trafficante’s orders were Brooklyn boss Albert “the Mad Hatter” Anastasia; Chicago godfather Sam “Momo” Giancana; and Giancana lieutenant John “Handsome Johnny” Roselli. Trafficante also played a leading role in secret U.S. murder plots against Cuban leader Fidel Castro, instigated in 1959 by Vice President Richard Nixon.

Snip…

Later, as vice president, Nixon summoned the loyal gangster who had shielded him from a potential Havana gambling scandal into service for a hush-hush government assignment. Always scheming, Nixon wanted to take advantage of Norman Rothman’s old Batista-era contacts in Cuba.

So in 1960, at Nixon’s direction, Trafficante and several other Mafia heavyweights signed up as co-conspirators in secret Nixon-led Mafia-CIA plots to assassinate Fidel Castro. And among the key players in implementing the plots were Norman Rothman, former Nixon dirty trickster (and Hughes and Mafia associate) Robert Maheu, and CIA agents (and future Nixon dirty tricksters) Frank Sturgis and E. Howard Hunt. All of the Castro murder plots, of course, were miserable failures: the longtime ruler of Cuba died a natural death in his homeland in 2016.

Whether the Other or themselves, something crazy going on: Trumpnosis.

Way back in the Before Time, a professional hypnotist tried to warn us. Add in his “familiar billionaire developer persona” from pop culture tee vee and it becomes clearer how Dump did it:

Hypnotist Richard Barker Shows How Trumpnosis, Donald Trump's Form of Covert Hypnosis, Affects Millions Around the World

NEWS PROVIDED BY
Richard Barker, Incredible Hypnotist
Mar 29, 2016, 08:35 ET

ORLANDO, Fla., March 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hypnotist Richard Barker has just released research surrounding mass hypnosis and has coined the phrase "Trumpnosis".

Trumpnosis.com has been receiving lots of interest as of late. Covert hypnosis means having access to people's subconscious mind and altering the way they behave and think in a disguised or somewhat hidden way. Some popular covert hypnosis techniques used to align someone's behavior and thoughts to the desired outcome of the hypnotists are displayed during mass hypnosis.

Barker typically refers to mass hypnosis as "Trumpnosis", since he states, "Mr. Trump displays it so well". The media have also made comments regarding the Hypnotizing of a nation and questioned what is happening to America. Through the words and actions of an individual, can we influence and suggest a nation to think a certain way? Richard Barker who is known as the 'Incredible Hypnotist' thinks so. Barker said, "Everything we do and see must first start with a thought process. We don't see the world; we think it. If your thoughts are influenced by a master Hypnotist to think in a certain way on a mass level, this is 'Trumpnosis'".

Mass Hypnotism can apply to everything and be everywhere – in families, in schools and in politics. The influence and use of repetition on crowds is identified through Mr. Trump's speeches and is seen to influence even the most enlightened minds. The power is due to the fact that the repeated statements are embedded in those profound regions of our subconscious mind.

Donald Trump successfully uses techniques such as pacing and leading, anchoring, verbal confusion, repetition and so on. He successfully bypasses the critical factor in minds of some people and has the ability to turn off the rational thinking. By using certain words and behavior, a speaker can very quickly establish a rapport with an audience. Repeated exposure to the same speaker can result in them being viewed with admiration, bordering on worship. Every word uttered is accepted as the complete truth.

“ Through the words he has used, both now and in the past, he has placed others into a hypnotic state without them knowing," says Barker. "Trump's speeches contains hypnosis techniques of hypnotic anchoring, pacing and leading, critical factor bypass and so on."

Hypnotist Richard Barker insists, "All you need to remember is that most people's needs are based on their instincts. Understanding people's instincts, especially in a mass gathering, is one of the key goals of mass hypnosis. Trumpnosis is a vehicle for enabling large groups of people to have an altered belief system."

Richard Barker is a World Renowned Professional Hypnotist. He has spent the last 20 years working with thousands of clients across the world. Richard Barker has recently appeared on NBC's The Today Show, CBS' The Late Late Show with James Corden, FOX's Good Day LA and News channels for FOX and ABC http://incrediblehypnotist.com

He has written a new book focusing on Persuasion and Suggestion titled, "Selling Hypnotically. The Art Of Suggestion" http://sellinghypnotically.com

That may come at great cost to them. Since we won't be there to help them then, we must do all we can to help now.

news media throughout the world and described by the San Francisco police and attorney general on broadcast television in real-time. They don't believe that that vicious act of political violence against Paul Pelosi occurred. Yet they believe Democrats are part of a global network of pedophiliacs and that Hillary Clinton, of all people, was the leader of a child sex trafficking ring operated out of the basement of a pizza restaurant.

They know what is reality.

Saying they don’t is the same as saying, “Let’s go, Brandon,” which is the same as saying, “Heil, Hitler!”

Such seemingly self-deceiving morons are hypocrites.

stomach it. At one point, the radio host was practically screaming a list of disparaging nicknames for Speaker Pelosi, President Biden, Vice President Harris, Transportation Secretary Buttigieg, and Senator Elizabeth Warren. He repeated this list over and over and over. It was horrifying.

I tell you, the First Amendment will be the end of our democracy unless there are stronger hate speech laws enacted and ENFORCED.

by right wing media. Many want to start a war. It will be laughable when they try, but it will make political violence just that much more of an option.

This needs to be met head on with the rule of law and we also need to be able to protect ourselves.

ZERO TOLERANCE. Anything else simply enables them. Go after these bastards with everything.

That whole thing about an elite underground cabal of globalist pedophiles? That's some bullshit that's made up to scare people. George Carlin was right - when you're pre-born you're fine. When you're pre-school, you're fucked!
