My brother saw someone pulling up Dan Kildee's campaign signs and tossing them into a ditch

Because of new district lines, Dan, a Democrat and GREAT congressman, is running a tough race for re-election against a guy who hasn't lived in Michigan for about 40 years.

Anyway, my bro couldn't get close enough to catch the guy's license # so he parked his car, walked back and put all of the signs back in place.

to report this to Kildee's opponent's campaign office. There's an unspoken etiquette, at least around here, that you do not mess with opponents' signs lest the same be done with your own. They might want to issue a statement or something--at least, they owe Kildee an apology.

This guy running against Dan is a real extremist. Well, we have a bunch of them running against Michigan Democrats, this year.

No matter what the outcome of the races, I suspect we are in for a rough post election time.

Maybe call a local radio station if it’s a small market and they take listener calls on the air.

Make some noise! Don’t let the bad guys operate in the dark. Expose them! Shine a light!

in body armor and camo with AR-15s at the place I vote. We've avoided this for a while but it's only a matter of time.

that were on the easement (land between the sidewalk and street-which technically the city owns). I'm told they don't destroy automatically but allow owners to claim them for a few days. In this case the land beyond the sidewalk would have been either open space or the property of an HOA so not sure the person who put them out would have had the right to move them as a lot of HOAs prohibit political signs--especially in townhome or condo developments.

All this is a long way of saying the issue of where one can put political signs can be complicated and missing ones are not always due to vandalism/theft-- although that would not appear to be the case in your incident.
