All day I’ve been dreading things. The election obviously.

I was going to post an old man doomsday thread but I kept putting it off.

4. So many memorable elections...

I bipped in to get a feel, because I and politics/news have gotten divorced. When the temptation is
irresistible I come take a look. Memorable times with you guys. I miss ya...

5. Mood is Better

I’m still expecting a bad result overall, but my mood is better. Mostly I’m thinking next year when the Republicans hold government hostage to raise the debt limit by holding out for cuts to Social Security and Medicare. I think if the Democrats play it right and PUBLICIZE IT it’ll turn a lot of the senior vote. Seniors vote Republican, but I’m already seeing groups like AARP starting to talk about it. A lot if these seniors could care less, but a lot of them have kids and grandkids. If even a small number of these turn Blue it could make a difference in 2024.
