I'm watching msnbc and they're saying we have an 18-seat advantage right now in the House, but Goopers just need 5 seats to gain control.
What am I missing?

Actually, we start the day with 222-213, only 9 seats difference in the House.

They were showing how actual wave elections looked compared to this year (not a wave election, based on comparison to those previous years).

And flipping a seat is worth 2 instead of 1. One for democrats losing a seat and one for republicans gaining a seat. So they only need 5 seats to win the majority.
