It's delicious to see where the GOP is this morning

Sure it’s still likely that the GOP will take control of the house with an outside shot at taking the senate. But all things considered it was a disaster of a night for them. They’re the party out of power with high inflation. That alone made it almost a given. I was listening a week ago to some local RW radio for as long as I could stomach it and they were saying the MINIMUM in the house was 232 with another 30 toss ups. They thought they might even get to 54 in the senate. Now you see people on Fox asking how did this happen? Imagine living in such a bubble that you don’t realize they lost because of terrible candidates. You had a chance to look in the mirror after 2020 and then January 6th and you didn’t. Had they I don’t think we do as well as we did last night. They were expecting to sweep to victory last night and Trump announces victoriously on the back of it. Now there’s talk of him being weak and he’s going to announce, while I think DeSantis is actually the guy they should rally around but won’t. If they do they fear Trump splitting the party. Wouldn’t shock me if the party elites let trump run again knowing he’ll lose in 24 to prevent splitting the party for the next 20+ years.
