In short, the media is manufacturing consent by giving these older conservatives airtime to convince the public that today is horrible and yesterday was better. In this case, the "great savior", Reagan/Bush the Lesser/TFG swoop in the "save the day". Corporations and the 1% benefit from the tax benefits all the while joining in the chorus of "blame the others".

(1,200 posts)Do they even reach them to poll, beyond at the voting location. They dont like participating in phone or online polls, according to the ones in my family. Anecdotal, but still.
