WASHINGTON (AP) — WHY AP CALLED WISCONSIN FOR TONY EVERS

Democratic Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers showed strength over Republican challenger Tim Michels in even the conservative Milwaukee suburbs.

That’s what led The Associated Press to be able to call the governor’s race for Evers early Wednesday. Evers also racked up big turnout in Dane County, a Democratic stronghold that includes Madison.

...but not choose Mandela Barnes for the senate, when they liked him well enough to choose him for Evers' Lt. Governor last time.

But I had the same thought.

"Gee, we have a choice of a good dude or the ass hole who wants to take away Social Security and Medicare. Decisions...... Decisions."

Oh, please. Johnson and Barnes were separated by only 27,400 votes. How do you lose to the most vulnerable Senate incumbent in the country? Simple: running a bad campaign. Here's Johnson, an idiot who announces during his campaign that he wants to tinker with Social Security and Medicare. An absolute gift for Barnes. And we're waiting and waiting for ads to strike back. But we're seeing the same ads he used in the Democratic primary: "my mom was a teacher and my dad worked third shift". Over and over since May. He finally started pivoting but it was way, way too late. He could have pulled it off.

in 2016 vs Toomey! Her only ads were about how she was 1 of 10 kids, mom was a waitress and dad a cop. Same result, close loss.
