Results from the mock election at my school today

3rd, 5th and 6th graders voted.

Obama - 97

Romney - 12

Snoop Dog - 1

Taylor Swift - 1

Taylor Launter - 1

This is the 8th presidential election held since I have been teaching. And every single time, the kids ALWAYS vote for the Democrat. No matter who's running, the kids pick the Democrat.

Interesting, eh?

I expected to have more kids vote for Obama than just my daughter.

(We are here due to the military--this isn't our home.)

4. When I was in 3rd grade, I was only one of four to vote for Kennedy

The rest of the class went for Nixon and the teacher was pushing Nixon hard. She was in tears the next morning. This was in Madison, Wisconsin.

I think they would have kicked us out if we didn't vote for Kennedy. LOL

Probably when they get old enough to get a little money and feel selfish about not paying taxes. Of course they all don't get to that point. I never did. I've been a Democrat since I was a kid.

One student went on a short rant for Obama. He said that if Romney wins we will all be homeless. Great kid!
