Doesn’t mean it won’t happen in 2 years. Giving directly to the candidate would be my guess. I don’t go through any intermediaries

I learned my lesson too late, though. Years ago, before I knew what a bad deal it was for the candidates I contributed to, I used to contribute online all the time. I have been paying the price ever since in the form of mail requests, email requests, and both my US cell phone’s voicemail box and even my office voicemail box—can only have come from the requirement to disclose my employer—are full of requests for money. Since usually many months go by between visits to the USA, and no one accesses my phones in the meantime, this means I have to waste half a day wading through these “messages” every time I return.

I get lots of texts. Never calls. I would not like dealing with tons of voicemail . The texts are easy to deal with.

They are overwhelmed w/ requests for funds.

Perhaps maybe on DU itself? they do set up within DU where donations can be made, but I don't recall if these were direct links to the candidates themselves (hence risking the deluge) or if DU in turn, sends the donations afterwards to the candidates, leaving the donator's name out of the picture. Perhaps someone knows here on DU?

I guess you could walk into a candidate's campaign office, drop off money (cash) and then you're done. This seems rather iffy and depends upon if a candidate does have an outreach office near you. I'd like an answer to this very question too, as I would donate directly, but don't other than my generic PAC at work, where a certain % is taken out of my paycheck and then sent to the appropriate choices I've made, by the company PAC.

Campaign finance laws require candidate and donor disclosure. And DU raises for specific candidates

I should not be punished via inundation for supporting a candidate. I actually sat out this cycle for just that reason. I hope the DNC is listening.

I think we need to find a way to fix this or many will stop donating.

use the plus sign with a Gmail address and filter all new responses to that email to the trash.

Power up my computer email - there they are!
I delete them…40-minutes later - I have more.

Hits coming as text messages? THE SAME!

And the messages? “Send $3 or it’s your fault if we don’t win.”

I've donated through ActBlue and then every candidate contacts me asking for a donation.

I have not donated anything this midterm cycle at all (poor as fuck). I have already received daily texts askong for GA senate race donations since the election.
