What does everyone think: Does the Senate win diminish Manchin's position or not?

8. Correct. If Walker wins, it will be a race to flip
Mitch McConnell will dangle the world to Manchin and Senima with a Walker win, he only needs one, with a Warnock hold he needs them both. Senima may be the first to take the deal.

28. yes, I agree. Quite possibly it's something party leadership could mitigate in advance.
But that is presumming too much and inserting fantasy.
So the reality of both of their inclinations (let's just call it) is rather predictable for the most part. My worries are both jumping ship. We badly need reliable Senators in play, so we have to flip up coming races in 2024 I believe is the next opportunity. |

12. Now we'll just have to try to satisfy only one of...
him or Sinema countless times for them to stop pulling the football away from us at the last minute like Lucy does to Charlie Brown.
And that of course depends on Sen. Warnock winning in Georgia. |

18. But there is still an outside chance for Dem control of the House---
something most of us would not have predicted, 5 days after the election...
I pray for some "surprises" in California, and anywhere else that the counting of votes is not completed yet... |

16. Nope. He's still the most powerful man in America.
Even if we get to 51, if Manchin opposes a bill, Sinema will too. We needed 52 to prevent their obstruction.

22. If we get the Warnock, we have one more Senator...but we needed two to counter
Sinema and Manchin. But I'll take it for the judges and if we keep the house we could pass some legislation.

will there be Repub versions of Manchin in the House?
