Breaking down the rest of the House races.

Per the New York Times the Republicans have won 212 seats. 218 is a majority. Republicans therefore need six seats. They are currently leading in nine:

CO-03 (Boebert) 48% with 95% reported
CA-13 (Duarte) 50% with 61% reported
CA-41 (Calvert) 50% with 67% reported
AZ-06 (Ciscoman) 50% with 89% reported
AZ-01 (Schweikert) 50% with 94% reported
NY-22 (Williams) 51% with 95% reported
CA-3 (Kiley) 53% with 53% reported
VA-22 (Valadao) 53% with 53% reported
CA-45 (Steele) 54% with 70% reported

For Democrats to retain the House, they need to to flip four of the Republican leaning seats, while holding on to 11 seats where they are leading:

AK-AL (Peltola) 47% with 80% reported, plus RCV
CO-08 (Caraveo) 48% with 95% reported
ME-02 (Golden) 48% with 92% reported
OR-06 (Salinas) 50% with 85% reported
CA-47 (Porter) 51% with 72% reported
CA-49 (Levin) 52% with 71% reported
CA-34 (Gomez) 53% with 68% reported
CA-27 (Garcia) 55% with 67% reported
CA-21 (Costa) 55% with 75% reported
CA-09 (Harder) 56% with 47% reported
CA-06 (Bera) 56% with 52% reported

It helps, I keep going through the list on the NYT site.

I know it seems far fetched, but it could happen.

Does anyone know if any more house races are expected to be called tonight? My understanding is that CA votes may not be complete for quite some time.

Because it will allow the Republicans to spin it as a victory when they end up with a five or seven vote majority.

The smaller the majority for the Repukes, the more unworkable it becomes for them.

I know that part of the state well. It will come down to turnout. Even nurses, teachers and government workers could lean red. Lots of racism remains.
