I just read that Bezos plans to give away most of his fortune

Why not give some to past and current employees of Amazon? Pay raises?

I just don't get it. He makes billions on the backs of low wage workers, then gets to give away "his" money.

Once he's ready to give more control back, he'll sell the stock and start giving his money away. Bill Gates has given away a ton of his wealth and eventually will give almost all away.

I applaud this from Bezos, $100 Billion can make a huge difference for millions of people. What Gates has done to fight disease globally is stunning.

by paying their employees well and providing them good benefits.

I did it too. So, I am living in a manufactured home (fancy term for double-wide trailer) in the boondocks instead of basking in temperate San Diego, with those beaches, universities, parks, and oh, did I mention, beaches?

His ex is giving away money at a record pace.

TBH, Amazon makes a boatload of money from computer services (AWS), and computers do most of the slave work.

Sometimes, technology finds a decent use despite a megalomaniac chief. Most of the time, not.

You know the guilty parties. Muahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

That said, I split less than his lunch money.
