If the Dems can hold their votes together, and peel away a few GOOPers, the Dems will get the agenda.

Mostly though, I hope the GOOP continues down the backshit crazy hole they are in.

The GOOP could become a permanent minority party.

The Republicans currently have a majority so narrow precision measuring tools will be needed to find it. It breaks down a few ways: there's a "cut taxes and deregulate, the smaller the government is, the better" group, an abortion-and-guns group, a "let's repeatedly impeach the entire Biden Administration, maybe they'll kick them all out to shut us up" group, a "let's give a Congressional Gold Medal to the January 6 demonstrators" group...and there's very little cross-pollination between the groups.

My feeling is there will be so much infighting that absolutely nothing will get done the next two years. I give it a nonzero chance that the government goes into default because the GOP won't be able to pass a straight bill...I wouldn't put it past someone like Boebert to add a clause to a bill that reads "the president's signature on this document represents an agreement to resign his office immediately."
