Forget the Debt Ceiling. Let the GOP shut down the govt while demanding cuts to

Social Security and Medicare in exchange next year.

Let them be public about their goals and defend them on Meet The Press etc

You go GOP. You grab that third rail like Tarzan swinging on a vine.

Go ahead GOP, Make My Fucking Day.

That is exactly the knife we will need in 2024 so go ahead and arm us with it.

Most Americans have no idea what the debt ceiling is.
Republican will frame it (again) as trying to cut wasteful government spending and lower the deficit. They and Fox News will portay Democrats as tax and spend socialists.

Best for Democrats to do everything possible to extend the debt limit before the lunatics take control in January.
