I doubt the gop house will ever do anything since there so divided and insane

they won't have the votes to cut social security and medicaid/medicare or do government shutdowns because they'll be so divided with the MAGA and traditional republicans.

There are multiple examples of every Repub member voting the same way on bills during the last Congress, and that's before several of the less crazy repubs were purged.

I was addressing the OP's suggestion that the House repubs couldn't do anything because they're so divided.

But then in 2024 they will have to run on their record. If they want to pursue an agenda that only House Republicans can sign on for, their hangover will will be the results in 2024.

The margins are so close that the far right wing will be leveraging the repub speaker (McCarthy probably) constantly trying to drag them to crazy town. McCarthy is not Pelosi. I figure he'll be Ryan'd within a year.

Of course, they don't really have a voting agenda anyway. All they want to do is own the libs.

Remember.

Their belief is that the less the government does, the better off we are.

They will welcome the gridlock and use the time to launch of bunch of baseless investigations into innocent people.

they can NOT raise the debt ceiling.
they can NOT keep the government open.

There's a lot of harm they can do by doing nothing.
