We're going to sit the republican party on its ass tonight. They threw everything at us and lost

There wasn't ANY avenue or low road that republicans left unexplored and unused in their cynical, dishonest campaigns. They thought voters would just accept that their lies were for their own good and give them their unearned advantage over the President and party at the polls.

Tonight, voters are answering their lies with resounding defeats with Warren and McCaskill advancing past unrelenting, nationally-directed attacks by republicans on their character and beliefs. Voters are turning their backs on those scorched-earth tactics and electing reason over demagoguery.

Romney ran the same kind of no-lies-barred campaign, and it looks like voters are rejecting that approach in droves; handing him losses in every state he claims as his own. Ryan was defeated, as well, by his own lies, in losing his own state in his bid for the vice-presidency.

There's little room left for republicans to become more extreme. They're positively defeated by their own dishonesty. I intend to remind them of this tomorrow, at every opportunity. It's one thing to be allowed to carry your campaign bull into office; it's quite another to be completely buried under their own pile of horse manure.

All that money and cheating and they still can't win. We the people are so much more powerful than all that when we pull together. That's why they try so hard to divide us. We need to recognize this and not let them get away with all this bs anymore.

They will double down. Big time. They're not gonna wake up until they take a Goldwater-like nuking. Expect at least one more truly batshit candidate for Prez in 2016 - Santorum or someone very much like him.

Boehner is digging in his heels . . . but we have the people behind us. Time to start operating like it.

Double down on a resounding defeat? Which of their backers is looking to invest in that fight tonight?

. . .and their money was misspent on fantasy campaigns based on poo.

Like I said, isolated into obscurity -- that's their future.

Pragmatists see what did not work, and will not want to repeat that failure. They will want to move away from the crazies.

The True Believers will want to go even further to the Right...where a mile-high cliff awaits them, dragging the rest behind them.

3,000 times as effective, right?

Money can't buy the truth or make a lie right. Not all the money in the world.

There is no way they could stay competitive as the party of rich, white men. They haven't changed (or they have, but always for the worst), and they are being left behind.

But a terrible night overall for Rove. The Fox stuff is the least of his worries. Donors will have lots of questions about his SuperPAC.
