The father of the Colorado Springs shooter was relieved to learn that his son was at an LGBTQ club not because he was gay, but because he wanted to kill gays.

(33,500 posts)and their partners, this shooting and the father's comments came up. Immediately, my youngest son's partner --who is an Associate Professor at UNC-- said, that, well of course, the shooter is gay and can't admit it.

(1,505 posts)He's been incarcerated for drug trafficking. He also has a violent streak and had beaten his wife.
The shooter actually petitioned a TX court to request a name change, which was backed by his grandparents when he was 16. They were his guardians at the time. He did this because he didn't want any association with his father.
