(1,299 posts)Literacy and gun-toting probably have a pretty low correlation, to begin with, though I could be wrong.
How about actual reading of books and gun-ownership?
And book-writing and infatuation with guns?
I hereby designate Hunter S. Thompson as the outlier who proves the rule!

~Collecting Gun Books
Has lots of suggestions.
Starting a firearms book collection isnt for every shooter or firearms enthusiast. Not everyone reads a lot these days (offline that is), and the price alone is a strong deterrent. You cant really attach the Collector Grade Publications The Black Rifle II to the rails of an AR, or jam Ian Skennertons The Lee Enfield into your No.4 Mk II. I recently went to some used book stores in Washington state and bought over 400 dollars worth of firearms books. With that amount of money I could have bought a good amount of ammunition, a scope, or even a decent hunting rifle. So Im not amiss when I say this post isnt for everyone. Another big thing is that a lot of the information I have in my firearms books can be found online through the internet. But if you have a good collection of books already, or want to get into collecting gun books, then read on!

Nearly all of the guns used for mass murder are recent purchases What that means is although there are already about 300 million guns in America just bringing back the Brady bill that George W. Bush allowed to expire would make a huge dent in the gun deaths in America. The Brady Bill would only need a couple of tweaks to add language to add bump-stocks to the list of prohibited. Items.

(6,874 posts)and say yes, but only up to 2 per person (3 if one is in Greek or Hebrew.) If you need more than two translations, you're wither looking for weasel words or usng them as home decor, not books.

(1,669 posts)I have about a Latin vulgate a KGV, several modern translations and there's a Greek and English version somewhere. I find the discrepancies fascinating, but then I like asking people to show me those seven last words of Christ and stick to only 1 Gospel.
