..excuse for a politician. He told Chuck Todd "I don't know if it's criminal to take bad advice from lawyers" in regard to Trump and Jan 6. Trump also had several respected lawyers telling him it was criminal for Pence to refuse to certify the 2020 election. Pence knew he didn't have the authority to do it and well knew Trump was listening to other lawyers who were telling him what he wanted to hear. And regardless his final decision, he considered it.
And now, he wants America to think he's the good guy, forget about Jan 6 and accept him as a viable Presidential candidate in 2024? I don't think so...

(2,331 posts)Trump has brandished him a traitor. At least Liz Cheney had the sense to pick a side when she went against TFG.

(3,019 posts)Where Trump didn't have the discipline and focus to actually have a working legislative agenda, Pence is a political machine that could have worked with the then Repug House and Senate to actually get things done. Like the repeal of the ACA and other things that were threatened but Trump's lack of focus on anything other than his ego took up all the oxygen and prevented even more Repug evil from seeing its goals to fruition.

(3,859 posts)He knew what he was getting into when his ambition, and fear that Indiana wouldn't re-elect him as governor, led him to crawl on to Trump's ticket.
He has zero integrity, no backbone, and no character. He can't do the right thing because he doesn't know what the right thing is. He's more interested in selling books which aren't selling.
If he'd stood with Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, it would be no different. He is the picture perfect example of a stupid idiot.
