At Thanksgiving dinner (6 adults), all progressives, I mentioned the multiple mass shootings in the week leading up to Thanksgiving, and most hadn't heard about them. I asked one where she got her news and she said the NYT, but she probably only saw the main running stories.

(58,785 posts)aren't the most significant news we shouldn't miss. Harsh, but true. It's enough to know the traitors' plan to use civil unrest to encourage American to accept a coup d'etat is proceeding. But equally important to divide the total dead every now and then into 330 million to get critical perspective news coverage tends to obscure.
It took a lot of bad electoral choices to bring us to this point. If only all those grieving for our dead had been among those who voted responsibly over the past 3 decades. It should be so different.
Fwiw, these days the word "progressives" is claimed and applied to such different sorts that I don't know what's meant by it. I'm a progressive liberal Democrat, along with almost all of the 81,000,000 progressive Americans who voted for progressive liberal Democrat Biden and the Democratic Party's very progressive platform. Hope you had a houseful.
