Huntsman wasn't the problem, his party is the problem!!!

There is no room for people like Jon Huntsman in the Republican party. I liked Huntsman, but he's got to realize the Republican party the way it's set up, will never accept someone who is not BSC.

Now that Huntsman is out, the remaining candidates are just fodder for the nutbags to fight over.

Sad!!

Newt and Santorum will follow suit. Newt says what a lot of Republicans want to hear. But the problem for his is that he's an asshole and people know it. Party culture matters, but so does the candidate. I think the OP is on to something with Huntsman though. Huntsman really has no place in presidential politics in our current political climate. That being said, he has occupied an important appointed position and there are districts and even states that would probably elect him if he played is cards right.

But in presidential politics, he's a no go.

As things stand right now, the Party is defined by those who buy the candidates.

7. He might have been a "nice guy", but his views were about as ugly as any other rethug

Don't let the nice smile fool you, he was 100% pro-Wall Street, 100% anti-99% as any rethug out there.

The only thing that separated him from the rest of the rethugs is that he isn't frothing at the mouth.
