*ofc, in total truth, the Presidency alone has as much control over domestic oil and gas prices as the orbit of the Moon
but its nice corporate propaganda to pull out the hat as needed.

(23,292 posts)I don't need the corporate media to tell me that. Even those who don't drive hear others talking about price going down. The way to make oil prices go down is use less oil. Share a ride, consolidate trips, stop buying gas guzzlers. Want to bring grocery prices down? When you see Kroger jack up the price of something you normally buy and you don't absolutely need it? Don't buy it. The corner Farmer's Market carries a few of the items I normally buy at Kroger and the price is a dollar or 2 less. The produce hasn't been sitting in a warehouse for 5 days and lasts longer. The locally made bread is fresher and cheaper. My goal is to get 25% less groceries at Kroger.
