(16,939 posts)HOW F**KING STUPID does one have to be to claim to be 'undecided?'
But that's not the worst part............
We KNOW how F**KING STUPID the other 46% are!!!!!!
May the werewolves or vampires strike him down - THAT would prove how BRILLIANT and qualified he is!

(16,939 posts)they would say "I'M AN IDIOT!"
I'd drive around and stop at every sign in a yard that says:
DON'T BLAME ME
I VOTED FOR TRUMP!
You can figure out where I'd put that sticker.......
Yeah, after I was done it would say:
I'M AN IDIOT
I VOTED FOR TRUMP!
Won't do it - I'm half afraid Bubba is sitting inside with his shotgun guarding his sign.....

(182,904 posts)There were 200,000 people who voted for Kemp and not Walker. The 3rd party candidate got 81,000. There are people, this is Georgia, Republicans who will never vote for Herschel.

(6,009 posts)... but since it's not, I'd agree and say the lowering of national stakes helps the Dems out with this one.
Mr.Bill
(24,330 posts)really understand the importance of having 51 votes instead of 50. I would guess a pretty low number. If I wasn't the political news junkie I was I would not know the difference. I've had to explain it to others recently.

(7,873 posts)All they need to know is that Senate control is no longer at stake -- regardless of what happens in this Georgia runoff race, Democrats will control the Senate. And that is something that most people would easily understand and that is probably what will result in lower turnout for Republicans.
Mr.Bill
(24,330 posts)But couldn't ignorance of the 50/51 situation also supress our turnout?

(6,009 posts)... I think that the motivation to not have that ambulatory embarassment hershel walker as their senator will be a reasonalbly motivating factor in our favor.
Mr.Bill
(24,330 posts)After all, many republicans are motivated by the belief that Democrats exist to murder babies.

(7,873 posts)Republicans are driven purely by political power and yet, regardless of how this runoff turns out, they will not gain any more political power since Democrats will still control the Senate.
Furthermore, on our side, I've seen even political newbies (so to speak) rail against people like Manchin and Sinema for their antics at preventing more progressive Democratic legislation from being passed. The voters least likely to turn out for an election like this are young voters, and yet these voters seem most aware of how important an additional seat is for Democrats in order to effectively neuter one of Manchin/Sinema because social media has been excoriating these two -- rightfully so, I'd say -- for years now.
Mr.Bill
(24,330 posts)They will have less power than they have had in the last two years. But again, I think this is a nuance few of them realize.
I do agree with your thoughts on the young voters. It's been good seeing them turn out in record numbers.
By the way, I'm very optimistic about the outcome. I have posted elsewhewre that Warnock wins by five points. Just having a good theoretical discussion here. Thank you for doing the same. I troll some right wing websites where this would have deteriorated into name-calling several posts ago.
