Can/Should we expect election results by the end of the day today?

I don't know what the rules are about processing/counting mail-in/absentee ballots. Have officials been allowed to deal with those before today or did they have to wait?

I know turnout is at or near record levels, and I get that counting and verification take time.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who a little impatient about results.

I guess I'm just looking for some idea of how long we might have to wait.

Working on Georgia, get all their political bullshit and have already heard a story about a friend said their vote was switched.

But the early vote will be completely counted I think. That might be enough to call a winner tonight if the results look anything like what is expected by the prognosticators.

4. They may well have the results today, I heard this morning they were

counting the early vote during the day today so just need to count same day vote when the polls close. If that is the case then it is quite likely they will have a result tonight sometime.
