(4,845 posts)Some early votes are starting to come in and no official calls yet. Though, Warnock is doing better than he did in the general. We have to see how the same day votes for republicans are to really know how it will turn out. It's definitely looking good for Warnock though.

(3,642 posts)but so far he's giving us good news about Warnock over-performing and Herschel under-performing. Makes him much more tolerable

(4,298 posts)I believe that more GOP came out in the general election to just vote against Stacey. She is not running now. i think that is good for Warnock.

(42,334 posts)relatively early. Warnock is outperforming in all the early accounts.

(8,758 posts)Are you all seeing. I am looking at 50.8 to 49.2 for Warnock right now with 58 percent in. Ow 50.7 to 49.3 as I typed.

(8,758 posts)With Kornackie. Right now 61 percent in Walker just took the lead 50.5 to 49.5. I am sick at my stomach. Have to go to Ga this weekend for my dads funeral. 59.8 to 49.2 for Walker now 62 percent.
TheRickles
(2,066 posts)counties are only around 50% counted. That's where Warnock will hopefully make up ground and build his victory margin. The cities take longer to tally and report, so it could be a while before these trends become clear.

(8,758 posts)Needed a little talk down. This is sickening. The suppression has a lot to do with it. The breakdown of how intense and laser targeted that was on Thom Hartmann by a guest was terrifying. I dont see how any Dem can get a vote. Our democracy is already gone. Just wait until the Supremacy Court hears the Moore case tomorrow.

(16,426 posts)Seriously, from what I can see, Republicans everywhere are, overwhelmingly, morons. Georgia does not have a monopoly on this.
Lonestarblue
(10,017 posts)given that Walker is utterly clueless about almost everything. White evangelicals could vote for a man of faith, but they choose to vote for a man with no faith, an absentee father, and a serial adulterer.

(53,061 posts)Blue counties 60%
Also Kornacki doing a good job showing Walker is underperforming in red Counties
TheRickles
(2,066 posts)The rural/red/Republican counties where Walker has built his lead are mostly counted (95% and over), while the urban/blue/Democratic counties like Fulton (Atlanta) are only about 50-60% counted. So Warnock can easily make up the deficit because he's winning those populous counties by 80/20 or more.
It could take a while for this trend to become clear because the cities take longer to tally up their votes, but it should work out well in the end.

(3,256 posts)Nearly all of the red counties have reported. There at least 250,000 votes in the Atlanta area for Warnock left to count.

I've seen enough: Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) defeats Herschel Walker (R) in the #GASEN runoff, giving Democrats a 51-49 majority in the Senate.
