Something to keep in mind about southern Georgia;

The counties along the I-95 corridor as well as all the way across the Georgia/Florida line are VERY Republican and it bears remembering that the county in which Brunswick sits is famously racist and was where Ahmaud Arbery was lynched. Also there was a story that recently came out of a group of Camden County Sheriff deputies beating the crap out of a black man in their custody.

Camden County borders the Florida line and is just south of Glynn County, where Brunswick is the County Seat.

Here's the rub;

The Republicans in those counties will vote overwhelmingly for a black man none of those fucking racist asshole rednecks would give the time of day to, much less cross the street to say hello to.

Warnock is going to win, I'm quite confident of that, but Southern Georgia will hate him for it.

In a state where the black population is 30 %, Gordon County is about 89% white and 4% black. Historically, many parts of northern Georgia have been too dangerous for African-Americans to live.

who have some important things in common with their conservative, religious white neighbors, including what they don't approve of in Democrats. But even so, I don't think outsize hate of a black liberal Baptist minister will be prominent among the commonalities.
