Sooo I've had a pretty shit year and ain't been around much...

But when did this drag thing become a thing? I mean, I’m reading all these stories about these drag queens doing story hour and shit and my knee jerk reaction is to support it. But like, since I don’t have kids, when the fuck did this happen. I never heard of it and now, this year, my news feed is full of these stories.

I watch it and enjoy it. Went to a drag show in Louisville a few months ago. Drag Queens reading to kids? Depend where you live. I don’t fear them, that’s all they are asking for. Accept us, don’t fear us and live and let live.
Here’s my favorite RuPaul Video..

Seems to me like it’s harmless and all in fun. I’m so far out of the loop on so many things it’s good that I have DU to educate me when a thing is a thing!

I’ve been a little worried about you. Haven’t seen you on DU for a while. I’m sorry you’ve not had a stellar year and I’m not sure when the drag thing became a thing. Seems like I’ve been reading about the library story times for at least a couple of years. I hope what’s left of this year is good to you and that 2023 is a fantastic year for you.

At least there have been some real events -- unsexual, silly-sequinned fun times such as the Drag Queen story hours in some libraries. I'd really enjoy seeing one of those nice things.

I feel you, tho - it seems like crappy sh*t all year. The drag show thing is a positive or so I thought (so inclusive and all!) but then the RWNJ's been losing their minds about it so it's just infuriating now.
Take care of yourself dude, and and if you need to vent we are here for you!

I remember Milton Berle, Red Fox. Dustin Hoffman. Jack Lemon. David Bowie. Tyler Perry, and Fip Wilson’s Geraldine. n many more but all of a sudden .. wtf? These idiots are now about drag crossing so just wait..after their tantrum, it’ll be something else. Good to see you..

I’m doing the parent-care thing, too… Have to keep redirecting my mind to the positive when I realize I’m banging my head. Similar situation?

I hope all’s generally in tune for you, though. Hang in there.
