A loss is a loss, and for the GOP to lose by 3% in a historically red state is beyond bad for them, even with a deeply flawed candidate like Walker. I look for the GOP to keep nominating fringe candidates who lose in races in competitive states where center-rght nominees would have won.

At least as long as the majority of the Republican rank & file are MAGA or Tea Party
or whatever the next wave of Fox News mouthbreathers is called.
30+ years of RW media have dumbed them down to where they are now. And there are enough of them to win GOP primaries.
