Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) defeated Herschel Walker (R) in the Georgia Senate runoff, according to David Wasserman.

The Needle and Decision Desk HQ also say Warnock will win.

The win gives Democrats a 51 to 49 majority in the Senate.

saw their projection, then fired up DU and found this thread. Apparently, according to your post, they had just called it. But I'm glad I was able to make you ROFL! Added fuel for your ROFL, I didn't care for the motion picture.

for conceding, although that in and of itself shows how far we've slid. 1.7 million Georgians voted for someone who just discovered that a werewolf can kill a vampire, as if they (or I) didn't know that.

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/3764290-warnock-wins-georgia-runoff-expanding-democratic-senate-majority/
Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) was projected to win Georgia’s Senate runoff on Tuesday, sending him to the upper chamber for a full term and handing his party a crucial extra seat in the majority.

The Associated Press called the race at 10:26 p.m. ET.

Warnock, who is the senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, defeated former professional football player Herschel Walker, who was backed by former President Trump. The race went to a runoff last month after neither candidate was able to garner more than 50 percent of the vote on Election Day.

Warnock’s win is yet another example of Democrats defying expectations in what was supposed to be a bruising midterm year for them. The party was running against rising inflation, gas prices and the historical trend of the sitting president’s party losing seats in its first midterm election.

The vampires who defeated the werewolves with mockery. The bad air blowing in from China for whatever the fuck it was doing. The pronouns me, myself and I, them and theirs, they and themselves, as well as she, he, her and him, and his. As in his victory - Senator Raphael Warnock - which is our victory, and it was a defeat for Walker and the GOP.

Walker should have lost by at least 30 points. What is wrong with Georgia voters? What are they thinking?

Better fast all the live-long day! I turned to chocolate earlier this evening in desperation when the vote totals were way over 50% and Walker was ahead.

Oy…

But I’m NOT complaining! Not after an outcome like tonight’s!!!!!
