With Raphael Warnock likely set to win, the % of the 50-state population that Senate Dems represent will rise from 56.5% after 2020 to 58.5% now.

After 2008's 62.1%, that's the 2nd-highest % since 1992.

We calculated 3 decades of the Senate "popular vote" & how many people each party represented. The results are remarkable: The GOP hasn't won more votes or represented more people than Dems since the 1990s but has run the Senate over half the time since https://dailykos.com/stories/2021/2/23/2013769/-How-minority-rule-plagues-Senate-Republicans-last-won-more-support-than-Democrats-two-decades-ago
