To clarify, it appears as though Ted Cruz's 14 year old daughter Caroline has attempted suicide. Nobody likes Ted Cruz but let's keep it respectful for the child, please.

20. I am sorry that you've experienced that

I also have a daughter who has had incredible anxiety spikes over the last two years. (She's 12 now.) She has threatened to kill herself but hasn't done it. We have access to therapy and mental health help (thank GOD!) but it's still hard.

I have such sympathy for Ted Cruz's daughter. I really hope that her parents love her and he can let go of his politics to be a real parent to her. There isn't much that could inspire sympathy in me for him... except for this. I'm sure as a parent (flaws and all as a human), he must love his daughter and want her to be healthy and whole.

As a father of two daughters (12 and 14 years old), my heart goes out to him and his family.

I saw a brief clip of Cruz with one of his daughters last month.
He was trying to make contact with the child, she pushed him away and seemed unhappy and troubled.

And a very large pediatric psychiatric facility as well.

She has access to excellent treatment.

I remember being a teenager and how hard it was, without the extra layers she endures.

I attempted suicide when I was 16. My heart and my empathy to her. I hope she gets help and heals.
