Germany arrests 25 accused of plotting coup

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-63885028

Twenty-five people have been arrested in raids across Germany on suspicion of plotting to overthrow the government.

German reports say the group of far-right and ex-military figures planned to storm the parliament building, the Reichstag, and seize power.

A minor aristocrat described as Prince Heinrich XIII, 71, is alleged to have been central to their plans.

According to federal prosecutors, he is one of two alleged ringleaders among those arrested across 11 German states.

Human political society is like a giant bee colony seeking a Queen.

We thought democracy solved succession, but we struggle to this day.

Georgia is 48% deplorables who identify with DUMB. DUMB is good to them. No words.

Maybe Republicans are being told to join the human race. From Sarah Palin to Herschel Walker and many in between there have been some airhead Republican candidates.

The real problem is much of the public holding Fox News Diplomas as their intellectual birth right. But as night follows day, throughout human history periods of insanity have been followed by return to truth and logic. The Enlightenment owes us a return on investment.

I'm feeling good this morning that we'll have Warnock and Ossoff in the senate saying no.

No sensible person ever thought the democratic experiment was a sure thing, of course, and I imagine our founders would have been thrilled if they could have known we still hadn't managed to lose it 250 years later.

Glad Germany was able to handle this latest problem. But including a token royal or not, it's a DVE group, which doesn't really sound all that impressive from my U.S. perspective. Now, if the gun-toting whackjobs also currently controlled half their state governments and their Federal Court... Of course also subverting the police and military special forces who arrested them would have been very helpful.

Time the far right took over Germany.

I guess growing up in the 50's and seeing the devastation of WWII had zero impact on that turd.
