With the guilty verdicts yesterday Trump is now under investigation for tax fraud. There are now 4 major criminal investigations and a major civil investigation into Trump.
In the other major investigations into Trump there are possible charges of fraud. Defrauding the government. defrauding the election, tax fraud. He also attempted to defraud a Grand Jury subpoena in the secret document investigation.
Trump is a serial fraudster. He has spent every single minute of his worthless life thinking about fraud, how to deceive people. He is completely obsessed with it.
His life of fraud has caught up to him. The way to nail Trump is to nail him for fraud.

(153,159 posts)Trump is not a genius or a great businessman, he's just a thug with a lot of money - he has conned and defrauded and sued / threaten to sue his entire life, using his name and his money. But now that his brand has turned to shit he has to use his actual wits and we can all see the result of THAT

(1,789 posts)He doesn't realize that more people than not can see through his fake facade. Even some of his supporters see through it, they just hate Democrats so much that they don't care. What he is about to find out is that courts do not fall for lame excuses, or weak defenses pulled out of thin air. He cannot yell his way to acquittal or convince a jury by the sheer number of times he repeats a lie. It will happen way later than he deserves, and the punishment will be lighter than he deserves, but he will get convicted.

(3,013 posts)The recent case that went against Trump Org has a max penalty of $1.6 million which is chump change. But can various tax authorities go after what Trump Inc. should have been paying all those years but didn't? Seems a pertinent point but articles I have read don't speak to it.

(4,913 posts)Banks could now go after Trump. Prosecutors now have a path to go after Trump himself for tax fraud. Trump did not get away with anything yesterday. Guilty on all counts. The Trump Org is Trump and his kids. Trump is not made of teflon.
He is now just an citizen who is in deep legal trouble.

(111,089 posts)Where I alone can can fix the Fraud and Deception in Stolen Elections. Never mind what state election officials, Secretarys of State, or the judges in our Courts say, I will determine if an election has been stolen. Not even the Supreme Court will call them on their Fraud. Only I can tell you that the election was stolen.
Who are you going to believe?
