WASHINGTON After watching Donald Trump lead the Republican Party to a third straight bad election season, his followers appear to be coalescing around a consensus: Its all Ronna McDaniels fault.
Rather than blaming the coup-attempting former president who made the willingness to spread his lies about the 2020 election a condition of his support activists, lawmakers and even some fellow Republican National Committee members have instead turned on the RNC chair who is seeking a fourth two-year term.
To play off of a famous catchphrase, Republicans are tired of losing. And I think that we need to radically reshape our leadership in order to win, said Harmeet Dhillon, an RNC member from California who counts Trump as a law client, in her announcement on Tucker Carlsons Fox News program that she would challenge McDaniel for the chairmanship.
Dhillon did not respond to HuffPosts queries. Neither in her Monday appearance on Carlsons show nor on Trump adviser Steve Bannons podcast the next day did she even mention Trump.

Can't be the bloated orange idiot's fault.

(8,965 posts)All the people that were fed up with 2 years of election denying would have flipped back to the GOP, if only Mike Lindell and others were allowed to make their election denial case nuclear 24/7 on all networks. Epic fail!

Raised in wealth, dismissive of others, snooty and more! I could go on and on. And yes, she will totally disappear from all R politics and go back to being a hall monitor at GOP run retirement home. Bye, bye you...............................................................bitch!

(54,414 posts)Snidely Whiplash. He is an overconfident, fully unscrupulous, self-made businessman who is not opposed to nasty, underhanded tactics in order to get his way. Perfect to head the Republican Party.
Some might claim that the fact that Snidely Whiplash is a fictitious cartoon character in Canada might present an obstacle to his taking the job, but they just put a real life cartoon character in the Oval Office for four years, and tried to get one elected as a Senator from Georgia. So, don't tell me that they are opposed to the notion, as long as a DNA sample isn't required.
