She seems to be missing from the public eye, except for occasional appearances behind Biden
at events like yesterday's announcement about Griner. She is a very capable, likeable and intelligent
V.P. and I wish she wasn't in the shadows. Biden gave the border assignment and she was criticized.
She needs to head up a popular issue.

(115,757 posts)Their work has always been mostly behind the scenes; they didn't even get an office in the WH until Walter Mondale was given one by Carter. Dick Cheney was more powerful and influential than his puppet W but we didn't see him in public very much (which was fine with me). I'd like to see a bit more of Harris, too, but the nature of the position doesn't offer a lot of public exposure.

which is the last thing she needs. i have die hard dem friends who still say hillary was crammed down our throats and thought it was her turn.
