Never mind that we have the Senate majority. Never mind that we got a hostage home. Never mind that we passed a significant marriage bill.
Never mind all that.
We lost a Senate seat. Robert Costa on CBS reported early that Sinema would not caucus with Democrats. Costa is usually a pretty reliable source, but it appears maybe he got this one wrong. It may be more accurate to say she will not attend weekly caucus meetings. But as a Democrat she rarely did that, too. She said she will still have the same committee assignments, which she can pretty much only do as a member of the Democratic caucus. But still this is being payed as part of our Disarray du Jour.
Brittney Griner is back in the USA. B U T we had to give up an aging bad guy and didn't get Paul Whelan home (btw, medians, none of you seem to remember Marc Fogel)
And that bill . . . . meh. It didn't do much for straight whites.
Carry on . . . . .

(7,850 posts)if she loses her committees she's nothing..she has to appear to be working for her constituents, the constituents she dissed..

(7,715 posts)I have a lot of respect for Senator Murkowski. She often acts independently of the Republicans. Like Sinema, she's been censured by her own state party and had to run as an independent to keep her seat.
The difference is that she has stayed as a Republican.
I can't say that I am all that surprised at what Sinema did today.

(21,363 posts)as to why I only watch Nicolle Wallace.
Sinema said herself that she would caucus with the Dems. I did get that from the Maddow blog. I trust her too.

I seem to recall us just recently having an election when many people decided our side wasnt so bad after all.
