A bisexual woman joining the GOP is like a chicken joining the American Poultry Association, the small number of inclusive Republicans notwithstanding.

(102,304 posts)Can you explain this?
tenderfoot
(8,437 posts)There's been speculation that her backstory is total bullshit. She grew up middle class, her family briefly lived in an abandoned gas station while the house they were living in was being painted.
She's a liar.
Explained.

(32,030 posts)You heard a allegation with no evidence. Why hasn't the media investigated her story and exposed her if its BS? Why hasn't op research done the same? She is a very high profile figure.

(32,030 posts)Everyone at that level is investigated. By the media looking for gotcha stories, rivals within the party and opponents from the other party.

former9thward
(32,030 posts)I did not say Sinema is lying. The poster I replied to said that. He/she should offer some proof.

(32,030 posts)That is not how discussion boards work. Posts are not private messages between posters. There is a feature if you want to do that.

(12,462 posts)She lived in an old, worn-out gas station for a number of years with no running water and no other things, Roc Arnett, then-president of the influential East Valley Partnership, wowed a crowd of business executives waiting to hear Sinema. It has helped craft her into the person she is today.
Sinema typically says the problems started when her father lost his job amid the 1980s recession. Records show he was also fighting complaints from legal clients, censure by the State Bar of Arizona, a real-estate deal gone bad and IRS debts. The familys house would briefly go into foreclosure.

(82,849 posts)I don't much like Sen. Sinema, but I don't think she's a total idiot. Sen. Cotton, on the other hand, may not have a high opinion of her judgment or intellect. But jumping to the loser caucus is a one-way ticket to political palookaville.
