Musk is trying to sic his Twitter followers on a driver he says stalked his son.

Musk mentioned the alleged incident earlier today, trying to use it as justification for suspending the @Elonjet account.

Tonight he's posted a very short video clip of a driver being confronted by someone I assume is a Musk employee.

I'm not going to post the video here, because this individual might not have done any of the things Musk said he did. But this is the earlier part of that thread, before the video was posted tonight - a very brief clip that at the end showed the car's license plate clearly - with Musk asking his followers to identify the man.

Obviously IF the man did what Musk claims, he has every reason to be upset. But there's no video evidence of threatening actions.

You'll have to look at that tweet on Twitter to find the video Musk posted next in the thread.

The driver seems wary of Musk's employee and is filming him at the same time.

Some of Musk's followers are positive the driver has to be antifa - idiot troll Mike Cernovich said he can tell just from the look in the driver's eyes - and I've seen posts replying to Musk's thread saying that real men don't go to the police to deal with these problems, and this is why there's a 2nd Amendment, and Musk can hire people to take care of this problem.

Since Musk has the guy's license plate number on the video, he should have let the police deal with this, if there was any evidence at all that the man acted in a threatening manner.

Instead, Musk is activating a mob.

I did see a reply suggesting the guy could be an Uber driver. The hand sanitizer was mentioned, as was what they thought looked like an Uber beacon on the dashboard. And Uber drivers often wear masks, which might explain what Musk's RW followers assume has to mean antifa.

Anyway, I don't know what happened. I don't trust Musk to tell the truth. It's possible there was a near-collision and Musk's employee got out to confront that driver. You'd think if the events Musk describes had happened, Musk's employees would have been calling 911 and getting as far away as possible from someone who seemed threatening.

years ago he was accusing someone of being a pedo bc he criticized the aid Musk promised to rescue the Thai boys trapped in a cave.

He's been big mouthing on twitter since before he bought twitter.

Always thought of himself as a Joe Rogan free thinker type. (Going on Rogan's show, smoking pot live on air.)

Naming his kid some ridiculous name to prove how unique he is.

Nothing is surprising about this if you've paid attention to him.

He's telling us that he, one of the world's richest men, doesn't have security who could easily look up this guy's tag number and deal with him privately. So what is this about? He's checking out how far his supporters will go to stand up for him. He's sounding more and more like Trump. I think the two of them are in cahoots.

someone filmed someone else in their car and got their license plate. If something did happen, WTF was it not reported to the police?

None of this makes sense. If something did happen, Eloon is dealing with it in a totally illogical way. This smells like some sort of revenge on this person. I don't think anything happened. If it did, it wasn't something serious enough to report.

escalated from Musk's initial description, which I'm skeptical of anyway, to some of his followers tweeting that it had been an attempted kidnapping or murder of his son.

And since the license plate identified the dealership, the people there are probably in for a conspiracy-theory-fueled nightmare of a day today.

Musk's mob is convinced this was a plot by leftists to harm Musk and his family. I saw more of the "Protect Elon at all costs" tweets that have become so common since he started suggesting that his life is in danger because he threatens the powerful. This morning I saw a tweet saying that since the driver didn't seem terribly afraid, that must mean he knew that powerful government agencies would protect him.

EDITING to add that that I just searched Twitter again for Musk's name, and the very first Top tweet that showed up was from a RWNJ I'd never seen tweets from before, someone with only a few hundred followers, who finds it "alarming" that Musk and his family "being assaulted by a masked clad anonymous individual" isn't all over the national news. Twitter has been boosting tweets, apparently, from anyone who either praises Musk or adds to the conspiracy theories he's pushing.
