Direct link to USPS to order the test kits: https://special.usps.com/testkits
note: adding this post script about expiration dates in case you still have stock of previous kits. Many expiration dates have been extended. Thought I was gonna have to throw out my kits that are expiring this month, but they are now good for another year.
Here 's the link to check revised expiration dates:

(10,098 posts)Been feeling like crap this week, my library ran out of tests. I need to go back to pharmacy to pick some up that they ran through my insurance for "free".
Peace

(6,089 posts)I looked up the other day and saw the offer was no longer available. Luckily, we've never gotten it in my house even though as a private duty nurse I have been exposed many times by my patient's family members who had it. I'm fully vaxxed and boosted.
And so far, I don't think the microchip tracking device has done anything but follow me to work and back, lol.

(65,079 posts)First, many brands have revised their shelf-life terms. Many "expired" tests aren't expired at all. You can look them up be lot number to see if there's a revised "expiration" date.
Second, I see (and other experts concur) that there is no chemical mechanism for a clean, dry test properly stored, loses any efficacy over time. I can find no chemical mechanism to explain entropy of the reagents if the sealed envelope stays in tact.
Finally, poorer countries are willing to take their chances on getting "expired" but free tests. Since they're almost certainly still good, finding one of several donation sites to get those tests into the hands of those in need is a much better option than disposal.

(11,477 posts)Only got rid of one box from over a year expired. Too late to get back. I used up most of them when hubby had covid for 3 weeks in August.
