A sense of belated relief with the criminal referrals.

Although the referrals will have no legal bearing, they still seem to be very important and relevant in the case of the former criminal in the White House.

For the first time, someone is calling him on his criminality. It is long overdue.

Someone is finally telling him that he is responsible and liable for the crimes he has committed against the people of this country and our Constitution.

Personally, that gives me some comfort and relief.

and a bipartisan investigation at that (regardless what the insurrectionist cheerleaders say), WOULDN'T carry great weight with a LEGITIMATE DOJ (which we have under Merrick Garland).

people don't understand the enormous implications of what happened and what these folks did. This wasn't just a Senator or Cabinet official doing this. It was the highest elected official and a whole range of Senators and members of the House along with high level DOJ officials and similar actors at the state level. Acting against there own government in complete disregard for their oath of office.

These people and their intermediaries (like Stone etc.) involved radical groups to create violence. They knowingly used false accusation/phony litigation to whip people into a frenzy and then they gave them a date to assemble, a time to hear one last rallying cry and then they turned them and sent them to the place and time for them to act. As a result people died and were injured and massive damage to the building took place. The damage to our democracy is ongoing and will never be repaired if the ones responsible are not held accountable. Not doing so will guarantee a repeat against government both Federal and/or local.
