I basically slept through the night last night

for the first time since this disaster began six years ago.

10. Normally I have no trouble falling asleep at night

However I wake up at least twice or 3 times in the middle of the night, and that's when I read. I get a lot of reading done in the middle of the night, then I get drowsy and fall back asleep again.

I can do this because I'm retired, no longer have to get up at the crack of dawn.

However I DO get your meaning - the STELLAR WORK of the J-6 Committee has allowed us all to breathe a little easier.
